Hafeaz said corrupt players should not be permitted to represent the country

Karachi: Former Pakistani captain Mohammad Hafeaz, who announced his retirement from international cricket on Monday, said that players were found guilty of corruption in sports should not represent their country.
Hafeaz said at a media conference in Lahore after announcing his retirement that he was standing with his attitude that the player “fixed the match and betrayed their country” should not be played.
“For me, the biggest disappointment and hurt from my career was when I and Azhar Ali took a principled attitude on this problem, but we were told by the chairman of the board that if we did not want to play, it was fine, but the player was concerned.
Will play, “Healz said.
Hafeaz also explained that his retirement had nothing to do with the attitude of PCB Chairman Ramiz King that he and Shoaib Malik had to retire after the 2019 World Cup.
“No, I have started thinking of retirement since the 2019 World Cup but my wife and some medium injections convinced me to continue.
But I’ve started thinking since then.
” As far as Ramiz said or felt it was his opinion and it was his opinion and I always respect criticism and the way I had gone out in the field and gave a reply to them.
I have no hard feeling against anyone on the board.
“Hafeaz insisted he retired from international cricket without regret.
Senior players, however, admitted that since the T20 World Cup he had tried to meet PCB’s head.” Ramiz said because he thought I wanted to talk about my category in PSL and central contracts.
But when I finally met him on December 31 I told him that I just wanted to tell him about my decision to retire.
“I made this decision because I want to set a new and positive precedent for others to follow.
Players must retire gracefully, at the right time with respect, and after bringing the council to confidence.” Hafeaz also called for better communication between the players and boards.
“Increasing is needed in this field for sure because this communication gap needs to be reduced because they lead to all types of problems.”
