Haitian police arrested the suspect in the president’s murder

Port-au-Prince: Haitian police said on Sunday they had arrested one of the alleged mastermind in the murder of President Jovenel Moise, a Haitian man who was accused of hiring mercenaries to overthrow and replace Moise.
Moise was shot dead earlier on Wednesday on his port-au-prince at home with what Haiti’s authority described as a killer unit formed from 26 Colombians and two Haitian Americans, dropping a deeper Caribbean people into chaos.
National Police Chief, Leon Charles, told a press conference that the man who was arrested, Christian Emmanuel Sanon was 63 years old, flew to Haiti on a private jet in early June, accompanied by a security guard that was hired, and wanted to take over as president.
He did not explain the sanon motif outside said they were political, but added that one of those detained had contacted him after being arrested.
Sanon, in turn, contacted two other “intellectual writers” from the murder, added Charles.
“The attacker’s mission was originally to ensure the security of Emmanuel Sanon, but then the mission was changed …
and they presented one of the attackers with an arrest warrant for the President of the Republic,” Charles said.
Public note shows a man with the name Sanon works as a doctor in Florida, but it is not immediately clear whether it is the same man.
It is also clear why Sanon wants to overthrow Moise, whose murder is the latest in a series of reversals for struggling countries, who have been seeking international assistance.
Washington has refused Haiti’s request for troops, although a US senior official said on Sunday sent a technical team to assess the situation.
Haitian police have arrested 18 Colombia and 3 Haitian Americans, including Sanon, for the murder, said Charles.
Lima Colombia is still large and three dead, he added.
Assassin who was suspected told their investigators there to arrest him, did not kill him, Miami Herald and someone who was familiar with the problem on Sunday.
A source close to the investigation said two Americans Haitian, James Soages and Joseph Vincent, told their investigators was a translator for the Colombian command unit which had an arrest warrant.
But when they arrived, they found him dead.
The news took part in the report that some Colombians said they went to work as security personnel in Haiti, including for Moise himself.
Miami Herald reported that the Colombians who were detained said they were employed to work in Haiti by Miami-based companies, CTU Security, were run by Venezuela Emigre Antonio Enmanuel Intriao Valera.
Charles indicated that CTU had been used to employ at least several Colombian suspects, but did not provide details.
CTU and Intriago cannot be contacted immediately for comments.
One telephone number associated with the company in public records send calls to the answering machine that makes a reference to the character of Fiction TV Jack Bauer, which fights against terrorism in the series “24.” The recorded message runs, “Thank you for calling CTU Security.
For Tony Intriago, please leave a message or send a text.
For Jack Bauer, wait for the following season.
Thank you for calling and having fun.” Social media profiles that appear to be included in Intriago include Facebook photos that show a man in tactical teeth that appoint high-powered rifles.
Instagram images show ammunition, weapons, and people involved in tactical training.
Photographs of the tip of violence and images-x-ray posted on social media on weekends said to come from the autopsy Moise showed his body full of bulletholes, cracked skulls and other broken bones, underlining the brutal properties of attacks.
Reuters cannot independently confirm its authenticity.
Through social media, Haitian residents in the capital part of Port-au-Prince planned to protest this week against the Prime Minister of Temporary and Acting Head of Claude Joseph.
Joseph’s right to lead the country has been challenged by other senior politicians, threatening to worsen the chaos that swallowed the poorest country in America.
On Saturday, one of the leaders of the Top Haiti gang, Jimmy Cherizier, a former police officer known as Barbecue, said his men would be taken to the streets to protest murder.
Cherizier, boss of what is called the Federation of G9 from nine gangs, said police politicians and opposition conspire with “Bourgeoisie smell” to “sacrifice” Moise.
The shot fell overnight in the capital, which has experienced a surge in gang violence in recent months, displacing thousands and inhibiting economic activities.
