Budapest: Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton said on Thursday that the law “Anti-LGBT +” Hungary “was unacceptable, cowardly and tender” in front of the Grand Prix this weekend in this country.
LGBTQ’s leaders say the “anti-pedophilia” bill suggests the gays and aims to support the Prime Minister Viktor Support Wing Radical Orban in front of next year’s election.
Because the law was approved by the Fidesz domination parliament on June 15, some homophobic attacks have been reported in local media, while LGBTQ activists warn of their fear of their community.
Last Saturday, thousands of people marched at Budapest’s largest Pride Parade, a week before the race of this Sunday in Hongaroring, to the east of the capital.
“Towards the Grand Prix this weekend, I want to share my support for the affected anti-LGBTQ + government law,” Hamilton posted on Instagram.
“Unacceptable, cowardly and tenders for those who have power to suggest such laws.” “Everyone deserves the freedom to be themselves, no matter who they like or how they identify,” he added.
On July 21, Orban said the national voice would be held to measure domestic support for law after the European Commission launched legal action against Budapest on size.
The referendum called by the Orban will consist of five questions, including asking residents if they agree that the school must be allowed to “talk about sexuality to their children without their consent,” but there is no date set for it.
“I urge the Hungarians to choose in the referendum that will come to protect the rights of the LGBTQ + community, they need our support more than before,” Hamilton said.
“Please show love to people around you because love will always win.
Send your ponytail,” he added.
Briton Hamilton has become a vocal activist for various social movements such as black life material.
The first training for the week’s race took place on Friday before the qualification on Saturday.
Seven world champion Leader Championship Hamilton Trails Max Verstappen with eight points ahead of 11 years of the Grand Prix this season.
