Coimbatore: V Jabez, a class V student, was welcomed by his teacher with chocolate and flowers when he reached the corporate elementary school in Ramasamy Nagar in Kavundampalayam after a 19-month gap on Monday.
He felt uncomfortable wearing a mask at all times, Jabez was more than happy to meet his friends after a long time.
“I wasn’t even asked to take a book from the bag.
Moreover, the teacher doesn’t take the math class! I spend a day singing and dancing with my friends.
I want to go back to school the next day,” he told Toi.
No other school also shared a similar story, thanks to the school authority, which adopted new ways to make their visits memorable and help them adjust to the school atmosphere.
At TA Ramalingam Chettiar Primary School Assistance in Saibaba Colony, a band of songs when children enter the classroom.
The teacher said they wanted to create a pleasant atmosphere for children.
All schools are decorated with balloons and color paper to make it feel like a birthday celebration.
“Most students come with casual instead of school uniforms and we want them to feel like a baby’s birthday,” said an elementary school teacher company in Sidhapudur.

But parents continue to bring children after the rain recede at 10 am,” he added.
