Harassed by loan sharks, Halvad’s ending life

Rajkot: A 60-year-old man harassed by loan sharks end his life in Halvad.
Manji Sonagra’s body who died was included in Narmada Canal on Tuesday.
According to the police, Sonagra has borrowed Rs 7 lakh from Dalwadi’s rapids through Naran Dalwadi and Prakash Koli.
When Sonagra can’t pay the amount, the trio has harassed it for the past one time.
Sonagra’s son told the police that a few days ago the trio had visited their farm and forcibly bought racing with half the price.
They even threatened Sonagra to hand over his ownership of his house to them if he could not pay a loan.
Because of harassment, Sonagra get used to being worried.
On November afternoon, Sonagra left the house and did not return to late at night.
Family members did not manage to look inside and around the village.
On Tuesday, sonagra’s son knew that his father’s bicycle and clothes were found on the edge of the canal near their village.
The police were told and divers were called to find Sonagra.
After several hours, the Sonagra’s body was found and sent for postmortem.
Inundated death cases were registered on Tuesday.
Police said that they were investigating charges made by Sonagra’s son and would register a violation if they found more evidence.
