New Delhi: Hardik Pandya All-Rounder will pass Trophy Ranji starting February 10 to focus on his Indian comeback at White-Ball Cricket.
Devdhar dedic named Skipper from the Baroda team on Monday.
Wisnu Solanki named Deputy Devdhar because the Cricket Baroda Association announced a 20-member squad ahead of the first phase of the tournament.
However, the hardik name is missing from the squad list.
Hardik remained on the sidelines since the World Cup T20 last year, made him not available for national selection due to back injury and further rehabilitation.
The 28-year-old child, who received a lot of flak because it was not bowling during the T20 World Cup campaign in India, has not played Cricket Red Ball since December 2018 and often acknowledges that injuries have placed spanners on their prospects in the longest form of game format.
It is hoped that the hardik will return to competitive cricket in the Indian Premier League, where it will make its first appearance as a full-time captain with the CVC Ahmedabad franchise.
In a PTI interview last week, BCCI President Saurav Ganguly said he hoped to see a rounded game in Trophy Ranji.
“Hardik was injured and the break was given to him to fully recover, so he could continue to serve Indian cricket for a long time.
I believe I will see him playing some trophy Ranji to start.
I hope he is to bowl.
More overs and his body will be stronger, “Ganguly said.
Hardik brother, the crunal pandya has also been included in the squad.
The tournament, which was not held last year due to the Pandemic Covid-19, was scheduled to start on January 13 but was postponed because of the third wave of infection throughout the country.
Now it will be held in two phases, with the first phase starting on Thursday to March 15 in various places in the country.
The main domestic event then took place during the IPL and continued from May 30 to June 26.
