Visakhapatnam: Former BJP State President and former Member of Parliament Vizag K Haribabu was sworn in as Governor of Mizoram in Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan in Aizawl on Monday.
With the total locking imposed in the city capital area starting on Sunday, the new Governor’s oath ceremony was attended by only a handful of special invitations.
Former Professor of Andhra University, Cambhampati, Babu Day, was given an oath of office by Justice Michael Zothankhuma, a judge in the name of the main justice of the Gautati High Court.
Haribabu’s appointment guarantee as Governor of Mizoram was read by Lalnunmawia Chuango, Chief Secretary.
The ceremony swore was attended by the Chief Minister of Zoramthanga, Tawnluia, Deputy Minister of Chief, speaker Lalinliana Sailo, Minister of Council, Chief Secretary, DGP, leaders of political parties, leading NGO leaders.
