Hyderabad: Health Minister of Telangana T Harish Rao on Monday ordered an investigation into an incident where a tattered medical student by his senior in the government medical college in Suryapet.
Medical students allegedly disarmed, were made to kneel and salute their seniors, and physically attacked.
Rao has asked the director of medical education to investigate and take the necessary actions and ensure that no ragging incident.
Students, who came from Hyderabad, were reportedly limited to his room for four hours before he came out of the room with the pretext to go to the toilet.
He told his parents about what he was managed.
The boy called the police and told them, urging them to take action.
Students go to Hostel in Suryapet on January 1.
His seniors reportedly asked him to come to the first floor of his second floor room.
Students are asked to display themselves before senior clothing and formal shoes.
When students went there, he was asked to pay respect for them, gave details of his family members and start video recordings when they demanded that he overcome him as ‘sir’.
When students began to voice the recording of the incident on his phone, seniors who were angry made knees on the floor and beat him.
The police have so far not ordered cases against those responsible for Ragging.
