2021 Can’t have a better end than Harnaz Sandhu made India proud when he brought home Miss Universe Crown.
Historic victory came 21 years long after Lara Dutta’s victory in 2000.
For the moment of the glory of the crown, Harnaz was fascinated in a beautiful dress curated by Saisha Shinde celebrity designers, who had worked with a beauty queen such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sushmita Sen and even dressed by Bolloor royalties, including Kareena Kapoor Khan.

How do you describe Harnaz Sandhu as a person? How does it work? When I met Harnaz for the first time, I realized this girl was very centered and the most important thing to behave was very good! He has respect for not only me but also my team, ‘Thank you’ is not limited to me but also Karigars and my masji.
He always with a smile, I think it talks a lot about how he is as person.
Every time he will leave my office, I will pray, “Lord, please let this girl win Miss Universe!”
Explain the Dress Harnaz that everyone talks about …
for Harnaz’s dress, we take inspiration from geometric and symmetrical patterns from Phulkari motifs that are identical to Punjab.
I modernize by making it abstract and simultaneously we have a vertical line that fan makes it look higher.
Finally, the whole look comes along with the Swarovski chain strings flowing in front, giving a waterfall effect.
The dress takes around 25 days to finish with a complicated and very fine hand embroidery made of bugel beads, crystals and Swarovski chains.
Your best memory with Harnaz? Whatever you like most? I could never forget when we first met for fittings.
He has told me that he always dreamed of this moment, he discussed the last dress with me in my office.
I was touched by how dedicated his dream.
