Harsh Upadhyay on ‘Khaali Peeli’ controversy

Music Composer and manufacturer Harsh Upadhyay has just written a tune”Lad Lenge” to love all of the frontline employees and generate an awareness of positivity among the citizens of the nation. His previous stints as an audio producer includes Duniya Sharma Jayegi (Khaali Peeli) using Vishal shekhar, Baja ke Tumba (Phillauri), Bhangra Ta Sajda ( Veere Di wedding), Pappi Le Loon (Veere Di Wedding) and Uri ( backgroud score ).

On speaking about his previous stint using’Duniya Sharma Jayegi’ he says,”Well, everybody is entitled to their personal opinion. This tune had zero intention of hurting anybody’s sentiments. I used to be the music manufacturer for that specific tune and it had been one of my finest experiences working with a number of the best composers in the market Vishal sir and Shekhar sir.”

Also speaking about the style of remixes that he adds,”I believe remixes/recreations are great only as long as the creativity and spirit of the first tune is undamaged. It’s also quite important that individuals associated with the original tune ought to be satisfied with the diversion”

He’d recreated the iconic tune Suno Gaur se from’Street Dancer 3D’ where he shares,”In my situation there wasn’t any tension, instead I had been feeling quite fortunate that I have a opportunity to recreate this a mythical tune. Additionally, my diversion has been sung by Shankar Mahadevan sir himself that filmed the first song.So it is not about contrasts whatsoever. It’s his tune only, I’ve only copied it as a dance course (variant ) of this tune.”
