Hollywood Mogul Harvey Weinstein begged innocently in the courtroom in Los Angeles on Wednesday for all 11 charges of rape and sexual violence against five women in California.
The punished rape, who has served 23 years in prison in New York, has been brought throughout the country to face allegations of further sex crimes in the city where he once led a massive film offer.
Weinstein aged 69 years – who can face an additional 140 years in prison if punished for all counts – attended to hear the latest charges against it in the downtown courtroom, slumped in a wheelchair and wore a chocolate jumpsuit and a blue mask pain.
“He really, firmly and firmly denied the charges in this indictment …
they could not be proven, not proven, not credible and unfounded,” his lawyer Mark Werksman told reporters outside the courthouse.
Weinstein was accused of sexual striker five women in Los Angeles between 2004 and 2013, when the former actress Lauren Young accused the producer of “pulp fiction” to attack him at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Young has emerged as a witness in the case of New York which leads to the existing Weinstein belief – seen as a landmark for the #Metoo movement – which he compares later on.
Los Angeles other demanded against Weinstein from unnamed women in the Public Date back so far 2004.
The limitations have ended on charges of further rape against Weinstein in the film industry capital as far as 1977.
Cases followed the similar pattern of Weinstein who allegedly attacked women – many Hollywood stars – in hotel rooms around Beverly Hills and West Los Angeles.
Weinstein said all his sexual meetings were consensual.
– Falling Hollywood Titan – In total, almost 90 women including Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Salma Hayek accused Weinstein about sexual harassment or attacks.
Wednesday’s hearing was mostly held behind closed doors, with journalists acknowledging for a brief conclusion.
During the trial, lawyer Weinstein Werksman called on three accusations from 2004 to be imposed as limited laws.
He also asked Weinstein a medical evaluation – which was given by Hakti Tapia.
Werksman told reporters after Weinstein could not walk due to the condition of the spine, and that “his client’s physical condition was relegated.”
Los Angeles’ allegations “came from many years ago” and cannot “proven or reinforced by forensic evidence, every contempor report, every witness is credible,” he added.
For New York Weinstein’s belief, the prosecutor did not show the evidence of forensic or third party witness accounts, their cases instead rested to ask the jury to believe in women.
– ‘Access to Judge’ – Gloria Allred, who represents many Weinstein’s accusers, said it is important that the alleged victim in Los Angeles also gets “access to justice” and “has their day in court.”
“There are many, many sacrifices made by these people who are victims,” he told reporters.
Before the accusation of Weinstein appeared in 2017, he and his brother Bob had left an indelible sign in Hollywood.
They jointly founded the Miramax film, a small distribution company called after his mother Miriam and Pastor Max, in 1979.
It was sold to Disney in 1993.
Their hit included 1998 “Shakespeare in Love,” where Weinstein shared the best Oscar image.
Over the years, Weinstein films received more than 300 Oscar nominations and 81 sculptures.
At the end of the opening section of the hearing on Wednesday, where weinstein was pale pecur sitting still, handcuffed to his chair, the judge said the former Titan Tin Belly “good luck.”
Weinstein seemed to thank the judge, his mouth was obscured and the sound was muffled by his mask.
