Kurukshetra: Former Head of Ministers and Opposition Leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the announcement of the state government to start the procurement of rice from Sunday also turned out to be ‘Jumla’.
He said the government had repeatedly changed the date to start procurement.
Hooda visited several grain markets to ensure the reality of land in procurement.
He visited the grain market in Ladwa, Pipli and Thanarest and talked with farmers, Arhtiyas, and workers, who told him that the procurement of rice had not started in the grain market.
Overcoming a press conference after visiting the grain market, Hoba said Mandis was filled with rice and the situation in such a way that there was no place to set foot on the market and farmers faced a constant wealth of desires.
“Farmers are forced to sell plants to private institutions under the MSP (minimum support price) because of the threat of rain and delays in government procurement,” he said.
Hooda said farmers needed clarity on the procurement schedule.
“During the Congress administration, plants were purchased when they landed in Mandis and simultaneous payments made.
At present, farmers are harassed by asking them to register on the portal and under the pretext of high water content.
As soon as our government is formed, the purchase of grains of each farmer will be ascertained By eliminating the hassle of portal and registration, “he said.
Hooda said that we had a long rainy season this time and was still raining intermittently and therefore the government must provide concessions to farmers in the standard water content this time.
“Far from providing assistance, standard water content is reduced and clear from the government’s policy that they do not want to provide the right plant level to farmers,” he said.
Along with rice, the government has also resigned from millet purchases.
“The Bhavantar scheme, which was handed over to millet farmers, had failed.
The farmers who grew vegetables did not benefit from this scheme.
In such situations, the question arises that how the Bhavantar scheme will benefit millet farmers.
Hooda suggested the government to improve his attitude towards farmers and start Government procurement without further delays.
“Opposition stands firmly with farmers.
The government will be forced to buy every grain of each plant including rice, millet, “he said.
Along with Paddy, Bajra, Huba also raised the problem of farmers who produce potatoes.
He said farmers need dirt in sowing potatoes, but in all districts including Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, The government cannot provide fertilizer to farmers.
Hoba mentions the reduction in the wages of bathing workers as injustice for workers.
He said that maybe for the first time in history, the government has reduced wages, instead of increasing.
In this inflation era, the government must increase wages, transfer -The reduces them.
