Chandigarh: The government Haryana has ended the service from a senior Haryana IAS Sandeep Garg after his belief in a graft case, making it the second IAS officer in the state to be fired due to corruption.
The order has been passed by the state government after central approval, submitted by the Department of Personnel and Training, Indian Government.
According to the procedure, formal orders are released by the head of the Secretary of State.
Haryana 1991-batch cadre officers, Sandeep Garg were punished by the CBI court in Delhi in April 2016 to collect assets worth around Rs 3.36 Crore, disproportionate with the known source of income.
The senior bureaucrony is under Penskorsan since his belief by the CBI court in the case of grafting.
The source confirmed that the office of the Secretary of Haryana had assigned the Division Commissioner to ensure that the order of cessation was officially served at Garg’s residence.
Previously, the central government had recommended the dismissal of the state cadre cadre in 1985-batch Sanjeev Kumar after he was punished by the Delhi Special CBI court in the recruitment fraud JBT Haryana.
Former CM CM O P Chautala was also punished in this matter.
The Delhi Special Court has sentenced Sandeep Garg, a native of Muzaffarnagar, in April 2016.
Some family members were also punished with him.
