JIND: Some farmers reached a warehouse in the city of Narwana in Jind District on Monday and utilizing 360 urea bags because they faced a lack of agricultural fertilizers.
Previously, several farmers surrounded the warehouse in Birbal Nagar and provided information to agricultural officials and the farmer’s welfare department, who were too rushed to the place.
Farmers held protests after finding shares and causing slogans to the government to harass farmers consistently.
Officials rushed to the place to appease farmers and distribute three urea bags for each farmer after the documentation.
It was observed that farmers had protested in several parts of Haryana to get fertilizer diammonium phosphate (DAP) and urea during this season, even in the election of agriculture and the Minister of Welfare of Farmers J P Dalal.
Hoshiyar Singh, one of the protesters, said farmers had realized their rights.
“We have asked district officials to stick or improve stock details outside each store that deals with fertilizers to make a transparent system.
The government has fixed Rs 267 per bag as a price, but private players charged up to RS 325 per sack and forced us to buy Pesticides, “he said.
Narwana Sub-Division (SDO) Officer Devender Singh said the government had suspended the license of three companies in Narwana and initiated action against traders whose Godown breeders could be suspended and the license would be suspended.
“We save a close watch and take action immediately every time you get a complaint from the farmer,” he added.
