Ambala: Head of Union Union Union (BKU) Gurnam Singh Charuni received a new welcome in his village in Kurukshetra Haryana district on Thursday night when returning home after the farmers’ protest and canceled respect with Fateh Marchib in Amritsar.
Charuni is scheduled to announce a new political party under his mission of Punjab 2022 at a press conference at Chandigarh on Saturday.
Charuni said he was determined by the idea that farmers, laborers, traders and the general public must oppose upcoming elections with unity to comb the traditional political parties and their leaders and change the government system.
Speaking with Toi on Friday, Charuni said, “I will not fight for the election of Punjab but will look for candidates from our party.
We will launch our political party at Chandigarh on Saturday.” For demand, Charuni said, “Previously, several farmers’ leaders opposed my decision to enter politics but now no one opposed it.
The Punjab Farm Union held a secret meeting.
They held a meeting on Thursday and Friday and another scheduled for Saturday.
Some unions Punjab workers are happy to stay neutral while some are interested in the election but they are still planning about how and from where to have a contest.
Until now, we will advance alone and not in talks with anyone.
