AMBALA: The police on Tuesday detained a squadron leader of the Indian Air Force following his spouse, a lieutenant supposedly committed suicide in her Ambala home.
Ambala Cantonment deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Ram Kumar stated that the detained accused was recognized as Navneet Sharma, who’s published in Ambala.
DSP stated that accused could be made before the court Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Sakshi (29) of all Shyam Nagar in Delhi, who’s survived by a son Divyansh (roughly two-years-old).
On the criticism of Sakshi’s brother Saurabh, the police filed a case against Navneet Sharma, his mom Lakshmi Sharma, dad Chetram Sharma and brother Mohit Sharma, all inhabitants of Pinjore at Panchkula under Section 304-B (dowry passing ) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in Ambala Cantonment police station on Monday.
Saurabh advised the authorities his sister Sakshi wed Navneet Sharma about December 12, 2018.
“The union of Sakshi and Navneet has been an inter-caste one along with also our household had awarded the dowry according to our standing.
Only a day after the union, Navneet along with his mom Lakshmi began stating that they had been awarded less dowry.
About one-and-a-half year past, Sakshi, that had been deputed in Ambala, delivered a baby boy.
Her in-laws began living with her Ambala and they had to frighten and abuse her small matters,” said Saurabh.
“On June 16, Sakshi phoned my dad and told him Navneet needs his son given to his own grandparents but she wished to maintain him.
Sakshi had informed that her in-laws desired to donate Divyansh into Navneet’s sister, who also had two brothers.
They had been torturing her to this dilemma”, alleged Saurabh.
“On June 20we predicted Navneet’s parents asked him he was torturing Sakshi from past approximately 20 days.
They stated Navneet doesn’t listen .
Throughout the telephone, we heard that Sakshi was crying for divorce and they pitched the phone suddenly.
Sakshi again phoned my dad and said it is now difficult for her to reside there.
She’d stated she would be arriving to Delhi using Divyansh,” said Saurabh.
“On June 21 at roughly 6.50’m, Navneet’s mum called us to tell which Sakshi has committed suicide.
Navneet had blocked our contact numbers and also didn’t speak to us.
I phoned Navneet in my wife’s mobile.
He requested us to attain Ambala.
Navneet had installed CCTV cameras in his sack and was able to endanger my sister .
Sakshi ended her own life by hanging following harassments with her in-laws,” said Saurabh into the authorities.
“Accused Navneet was detained and his household has also been booked.
The analysis is happening and much more arrests will be made according to the evidence.
The post-mortem of the dead person was conducted Tuesday and her own body was handed over to the household members for final rites,” explained DSP Ram Kumar.
