YAMUNANAGAR: A 60-year-old guy belonging to the Dalit community committed suicide supposedly after confronting embarrassment from a village panchayat at Haryana’s Yamunanagar district.
The deceased was identified as Ram Chander of all Barauli Majra village.
On the criticism of Ram Chander’s spouse Shiksha Devi, that the authorities have filed a case against a Arinder Singh under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) and 3 of their Integral Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) Act in Chhachhrauli police station on May 31.
Shiksha alleged that her husband had been struck with sneakers and casteist comments were made against him from the village panchayat.
According to the instance info, the reason for the episode is cited as political competition.
According to village resources, the panchayat was known as within the romance of Ram’s child with a woman of his village.
In her complaint to the authorities, Shiksha stated,”My husband Ram Chander was predicted from the village sarpanch Manmohan Singh to attend a panchayat kept at town on May 25 day.
Sarpanch’s dad Arinder Singh was also present in the assembly, who had been despise my husband because of competition of sarpanch election.
Arinder Singh struck my husband shoes and created casteist comments.
After this event, my husband felt ashamed and committed suicide by consuming some poisonous stuff on May 31.” The authorities stated a suicide note was recovered in his residence.
“From the notice, it’s noted that he (Ram) confronted humiliation and has been insulted by Arinder Singh from the village panchayat.
It’s written the Arinder took his shoe out to strike him public assembly,” police said.
But, Arvinder explained:”I didn’t take my shoe out to strike on him (Ram) or left some casteist remarks” Jagadhri deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Rajender Kumar stated,”We’ve registered a case according to criticism along with a suicide note.
The complaint was filed after the household had cremated the body of their dead person.
The matter has been researched and arrest could be made following proof is created.”
