Karnal: hammering on the central decision to delay the procurement of rice 10 days, protesting farmers on Saturday Gheraoed Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Prem Nagar, Karnal in Haryana.
Previously on Saturday morning, thousands of farmers from various parts of the district gathered in the new wheat market in Karnal.
After holding a meeting there, they started their march on Sadden tractors and other vehicles towards CM Residence.
The police, however, tried to stop them with barricades and use water cannons in the crowd, but farmers solve barricades and start Dharna outside the cm residence.
Protests were led by Bku District President (Charuni) Jagdeep Singh Aulakh.
However, Karnal SP Ganga Ram Punia and other officials were present in place.
