Haryana STF seizes 8.5 kg of opium, five held

CHANDIGARH: The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police has captured 8.
5 pound of opium in Kaithal and Kurukshetra districts and detained five accused about the charges of drug trafficking.
Giving this advice, a Haryana Police spokesperson advised in the very first instance, STF team later obtaining a tip-off recovered 3.
5 pound of opium in the ownership of 3 accused near Cheeka at Kaithal.
Arrested detained were identified as Ajay Ram, also a native of Jharkhand, Harbans Singh along with Ramjeet Singh, both resident of Punjab.

In the next scenario, STF had obtained confidential information a truck moving from Delhi towards Chandigarh may have substantial amounts of opium.
According to this, authorities has intercepted the car and regained kg of opium from 2 detained close to Shahabad from Kurukshetra.
First research demonstrated that both accused employed to purchase opium in Jharkhand and promote it in higher costs in various areas of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
The detained accused were recognized as Irshad and Mohammad, both indigenous of Jharkhand.
A case was filed against the accused under applicable segments of NDPS Act.
