Rohtak: Nisha Dahiya (21), city-level wrestlers, and his brother was shot allegedly by his coach, at the Surat Lone Academy in their village Halalpur in Sonipat district on Wednesday.
Their mother Dhanpati Devi, who came to the Academy to take home her daughter was also shot by Pawan Kumar, who was responsible for the village wrestling academy.
He was treated in PGIMs, Rohtak, and his condition was declared critical.
Duo’s father, Dayanand, posted with CRPF in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pawan villagers run the franchise of the wrestler academy owned by Wrestler Sushil Kumar.
The source said the first Pawan shot Nisha, who had been practicing at the Academy for about three years.
He then called Dhanpati, said he could come to take Nisha because his training time ended, and Suraj and shot them.
While Suraj died at that place, Dhanpati was seriously injured.
The defendant, who included Rohtak Village, fled the place with CCTV footage from the wrestling academy.
A team from the Kharkhodda police station then reached the place and sent a corpse for postmortem to a civil hospital, Sonipat.

Sonipat Asp Mayak Gupta told the media that Nisha and his brother were shot by his coach Pawan Kumar who used to run the wrestling academy.
He added that Nisha who died should not be confused by Nisha Dahiya’s national wrestling player, the first is local wrestler.
The police said their team was looking for the existence of the defendant after registration of FIR under the relevant section.
The source said the villagers who were angry damaging and burned the wrestling academy after the incident was surprising that day.
Sonipat SP Rahul Sharma said Kumar was a resident of Balaland Village in Rohtak District.

Police said that a different team was at work to arrest the defendant.
