Yamunanagar: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) -II from the Yamunanagar police in Haryana arrested two men who allegedly fired a shot at the place of Jyotiba Phuly Government College in Radaur.
The defendant was identified as Rajan aka Adarsh and the Rajat who was not a campus student.
The duo was produced in the District Court on Thursday which granted their police for weapons recovery and cars used in crime, police said.
The police said the two defendants had criminal records and they knew some students.
Police said the defendant had opened fire because of some competition they had developed with several students following the ‘election of union students who held themselves on campus.
In particular, on December 28, two criminals had opened fire inside and outside the main gate of the campus place.
