YAMUNANAGAR: Veteran BJP leader and former health minister of Haryana Kamla Verma has contracted black fungus, also called mucormycosis.
Verma has been treated in a private hospital at Jagadhri city of Yamunanagar district.
“My mom analyzed Covid-19 confident May 5, also recovered by the illness.
She afterwards contracted black fungus and has been declared at a private hospital at Jagadhri on May 30,” her son Rajan Verma stated.
“The physician had requested us to attract Amphotericin-B however we managed to organize the drug really late.
We phoned the ministry and officials but did not get a response,” said Rajan.
“Her nasal swab revealed wide septate right angle branching hyphae indicative of bacterial disease.
She had been supplied two vials of Amphotericin-B before and also five vials on Tuesday.
Moreover, six vials are supplied from the central authorities.
Thus far, 13 shots are given to the individual,” explained Yamunanagar civil physician Dr Vijay Dahiya.
Dr Dahiya additionally said that until today, nine instances of black fungus was reported at Yamunanagar district.
Yamunanagar MLA Ghamshyam Dass Arora,” BJP’s district president Rajesh Sapra along with other party leaders detected Kamla Verma in the hospital.
