Kolkata: Former Union Minister of Babul Supriyo, who joined the Trinamool Congress last week, met with the Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee on Monday.
Supriyo, MP BJP from Asansol, visited the Nabanna State Secretariat to meet Banerjee.
“It was a good meeting ‘Didi’.
We have a very good discussion.
I thank him for giving me the opportunity to work for Bengal and serve people.
I was truly touched by the love and warmth of ‘Didi’ and Abhishek Banerjee, “He told reporters after the meeting.
Asked about his role in TMC, Supriyo said it was for the verdict to decide.
“I have nothing to say about it.
This is for a party and Supremo Mamata Banerjee to decide.
This is the prerogative,” he said.
This was Supriyo’s first meeting with Banerjee after he joined TMC on Saturday.
