Kolkata: Acknowledging the West Bengal Minister of Bengal officers to hear, the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday directed that the notification was served at the opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari, who victory from Nandigram in the election of the assembly was challenged by him.
Justice Shampa Sarkar directed that the Banerjee election petition will be taken to hear on August 12.
The judge directed that in the meantime, notice served at Adhikari, a BJP MLA, and the other party in this matter.
Justice Sarkar argues that according to the report received by the reserve bench from the Administration of the High Court, the election petition is submitted in accordance with the provisions of the representation of the People’s Act.
The court also directed the election commission to preserve all records and devices related to the poll in Nandigram.
This problem was transferred to the Judiciary of Sarkar by acting Judge Rajesh Bindal after Causik Chanda’s cake resigned from hearing the trinamool congress head petition.
According to the results stated by the Election Commission, Adhikari defeated Banerjee with a margin of 1,956 votes.
