Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Monday allowed All India Idara-E-Tahafuz-e-HussAiat and Haidry Jama Mosque in Permit for the Chehlum procession on September 28, the 40th day of Imam Hussain’s martyr.
Senior Adviser Rajan Shirodkar for Husiniyat and Advocate Shehzad Naqvi for Jama Mosque requested permission for the procession.
Naqvi said that in the midst of notification of symbolic procession can be permitted.
Petitioner Applian PH Kanharia did not object to allowing a procession in representative capacity in Mumbai for the entire state.
