HC asked why the government nodded coal because the fuel should not be clamped

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat High Court on Saturday asked the state government, why not attach decisions that stated coal as fuel agreed to curb the level of air pollution.
In response to pills submitted by Petonians Amit Panchus looking for a ban on coal as a fuel for the industry and demanding that all industrial units that function in coal were transferred to the gas, JB Pardiwala justice and Justice VD Nanavati has asked the government, “Why notification of Gazettes dated 26.10.
2017 or similar notifications / commands that with it declare coal as fuel approved under section 2 (d) Air pollution law is not shocked? ” The court has searched for a reply on December 17.
The High Court agreed to the pressure of the applicant that prohibits coal as a fuel and shift in natural gas will help in reducing the level of pollution.
The High Court quoted various court orders and its influence on the industry shifting with PNG use in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
All 1,635 industrial units in Delhi have completely shifted to PNG use.
In NCR in Haryana, of 1,469 industrial units identified, 408 units have shifted.
At Uttar Pradesh, from 2,273 units, 1,167 units have shifted to the gas.
In Rajasthan, of the 436 units identified, 124 units have shifted to PNG.
After quoting these numbers, HC insisted that Gujarat could also try to achieve this.
In response, the Petitioner of the Manisha Lavkumar Shah government proposed that it was very difficult for the state government to make sudden policy decisions to eliminate coal.
This can cause a lot of chaos and many small-scale industries can be included in various difficulties.
But the government applicant also stated that coal use causes air pollution and sooner or later, the government must take the right policy decisions to fully switch to natural gas such as CNG and PNG.
Citing the Commandment of the Supreme Court, HC said that the old concept of ‘development and ecology could not run together’ no longer acceptable.
Sustainable development is the answer.
Industrial development is very important for the country’s economy, but at the same time, the environment and eco-system must be protected.
Pollution made as a consequence of development must be suspended with the carrying capacity of our environmentally friendly system.
After recording a high level of pollution and public health risks, the High Court also said that the state government had the power to end the practice of using coal as fuel.
