Chandigarh: In a big assistance for the former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini, The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday ordered the “clear stay” in his arrest in “All cases delayed or tended to be registered” by Punjab police until the assembly selection is scheduled for February front.
In setbacks for the Punjab government, the court also ordered a complete inn about any investigation on all the pending fires against it.
The court issued an order to the petition by Saini who was seeking an investigation into anything registered with it was handed over to the CBI or to other independent agents outside of Punjab.
Saini also urged HC to keep any proposals to arrest it, in any criminal case, in delay for a certain period, allowing it to seek legal assistance.
