Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Wednesday fell many in the state government for a delay of almost five years in deciding the implementation of go 111 to protect and define the catchment of twin reservoirs, HimayatSagar and Osmansagar, spread in 84 villages.
Warning that it will dissolve the high power committee led by the Head of Secretary of Somesh Kumar who has done a little in the past five years, HC gave a situation time until August 16 to explain the stand.
Chairman of Judge Hima Kohli and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy was hearing a number of petitions submitted by the neighborhood of Jeevanand Reddy and others who seek strict implementation of GO 111 to protect the reservoir catchment area.
There were several more petitions that questioned the validity of go 111 on the grounds that he inhibited the development of 84 villages when prohibited construction in the catchment area.
While some applications are looking for more elimination of their territory from PurView Go 111 as a research institution designated by the state itself has considered them outside the catch area.
Five years ago, the state government said it would appoint an expert committee to assess the relevance of go 111 because of the need for hyderabad and surrounding water was filled with Krishna and Godavari and not a twin reservoir.
And in response to the application before NGT, the country had originally planned a committee with a team of professors and hydrology.
But then in 2016 he founded the IAS four member committee with a 45-day deadline that was extended to six months.
Now, even after four and a half years later, the IAS committee did not make progress or given a recommendation, the Petitioner said.
The four member committee is a team consisting of three people now.
