Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Monday postponed the trial for the Nandigram vote counting case to 1.
December.
The court asked the BJP leader and opposition leader in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari to submit a written response on November 29, the assembly poll was released on May 2.
May 13, after justice Causik Chanda himself from the petition hearing submitted by the West Bengal Head Minister Mamata Banerjee over The results of the Nandigram poll, this problem has been allocated for Sarkar Sampa Judgment bench.
On July 7, HC imposed a fine of RS 5 Lakh on Mamata Banerjee to place the court in a bad light.
The single bench led by Causik Chanda justice has passed the order while hearing the Election Petition of the Banerjee Mamata challenges Adhikari’s victory from the Nandigram constituency in the State Assembly poll detained.
At the beginning of the argument, Chanda’s justice refused to pull the case but then changed his decision to say that he had been withdrawn from this case.
CM had previously moved the application to change the judge in this case and accuse that Chanda’s justice has a connection with BJP.
The election election commission has stated Adhikari winners in fierce elections for Nandigram constituencies.
After his defeat at Nandigram, Banerjee accused the officers who returned from the assembly chair said he was threatened with the vote count.
Even though Banerjee lost a seat to Adhikari, which was once nearby aide, TMC registered the victory of landslides in a poll that won 213 seats in 294 members of the West Bengal Assembly.
While BJP loses a poll but appears as the second largest party with 77 seats.
TMC even wrote to Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal looking for “just recalculating voice and postal papers” in the Nandigram constituency, but the recount is rejected for unknown reasons.
