HC denied guarantees to humans accused of raping, threatening the victim to convert to get married

Prasagraj: The High Court of Allahabad has refused a guarantee to a man accused of raping a woman after promising to marry her and, after that, allegedly pressing it to change her religion as a condition for marriage.

FIR was submitted against it at Ramgarh Tal Police Station of Gorakhpur.
The complainant alleged that the defendant persuaded him to be a physical relationship with a false promise of marriage.
“He then pressed me to enter Islam, threatening him won’t marry me unless I entered,” he said.
The woman also accused her that she was afraid of her life.
During hearing, advisors for the Petitioner argue that the latter was wrongly involved and that the relationship was consensual since the applicant and complainant were adults.
He cited the medical report of the woman, which said there was no external or internal injury in his body.
The applicant also did not pressure the complainant at any time to convert to Islam, the adviser said the advocate that emerged for the state government submitted sexual relations with victims with the pretext of false marriage must be treated as rape.
