Religious: The Orissa High Court has directed the City Administrative Director, Housing and Urban Development to complete the Pancrayat merger and three other villages with the Municipal Corporation (BECC).
The court, when disposing of a request for writing submitted by several people in the villages of BECC, was directed at resolving all exercises within three months from the date of communication of orders issued on January 11.
The Ganjam District Administration has signaled the Director on January 14, 2020, Luchapada Panchayat and three other villages, including Sanakusathali from Badakutali Panchayat and Bramhanpalli from Gounja Panchayat, and the Golabandh Army Training School in Golabandh Panchayat has decided to join BECC.
The district government has also submitted the concerned gram resolution of Panchayats.
Based on the resolution delivered by Panchayats concerned, the court directed the government to resolve the problem and resolved the entire training in three months, said Sanjeba Kumar Patnaik, one of the applicants and president of the Milita Anusthan Committee Sahara Kriya Anusthan.
The committee has been nervous for the past four years demanding to combine villages side by side with the BECC area with a Civic body.
A BECC official refused to comment on the development which quoted a violation of the model behavior model for Pancrayat polls.
