HC Intervention, Ku Postpones Polls Campus

Thiruvananthapuram: Following the direction of the High Court, Kerala University has delayed the election of the Union of Higher Education scheduled for Tuesday.
The University said in a statement here on Monday that the election was postponed after the stay of the Kerala High Court and the new date was announced later.
Despite the call to delay the selection of various quarters, the syndicate of CPM’s dominance university has decided to carry out elections.
The university has actually revised the inspection schedule to facilitate selection.
Consider the request submitted by a graduate student named PK Vinetha, justice King Vijayaraghavan V issued a command that directed the election for the next 10 days.
He showed that the election was scheduled without considering the cemetery in the state.
State President VA Vineesh said SFI encouraged to conduct elections because the democracy forum on campus was inactive for more than two years now.
The demands raised by other student organizations, including AISF, that the selection of universities must be postponed loaded with political motives, he said.
SFI candidates win in more than 30 Universitas Kerala University campus, he added.
All student unions, except SFI, have asked the University authority to postpone the election.
Kannur University will hold elections on Friday.
While Calicut University on Monday decided to complete the election date at the next syndicate meeting on January 28, the University of MG had not yet announced a schedule.
The State President of KM Abhijith said SFI leaders urged to see the University of Funds.
“The majority of students are not on campus.
It will not be fair to carry out the current election,” he said.
AISF State Secretary J Arun Babu said that it was not the right time to elect on campus.
