HC Junks Plea challenges the age of JPSC cut-off the date of change

Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday rejected modifications to upaying on the cut-off date to determine the age limit to appear in the 7th Jharkhand Public Service (JPSC) test.
The division bench from Chief Justice Dr.
Ravi Rajan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad rejected the way of clearing an appeal for the commission to conduct an examination.
The appeal was submitted by Rina Kumari, Amit Kumar and several other candidates who challenge JPSC’s decision to change the cut-off date for qualifying to sit for the initial examination of the Public Service Commission.
The exam was proposed to be held in September this year.
Appendellants Advice, Ajit Kumar, argued before the court that previously the commission issued an ad stated the cut-off date to qualify to appear in the August 2011 exam.
The advertisement was released last year.
JPSC then issued a new ad earlier this year declared the cut-off date to August 2016.
The applicants were harmed by the two commission ads and pleaded that the cut-off date must be August 2011.

Arguing on behalf of the state government, Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan said that the commission’s decision was greater than the interests of candidates and was a policy problem.
The High Court after hearing the parties with the length of the JPSC decision to change the cut-off date for the feasibility of candidates to appear in the test cannot be challenged and rejecting the appeal.
