Nagpur: Nagpur bench from the Bombay High Court has rejected Plea Guarantee of Shekhu gang members, which was placed behind the bar for alleged violations of kidnapping and extortion from liquor traders.
While rejecting plea guarantee Suraj Chaudhari, justice Rohit Deo clarified that sufficient evidence was found against him that he was a member of an organized crime syndicate.
The assistant government of Petitioner Kalyani Deshpande appeared for Ambazari police, who arrested him.
Applicants are ordered under McOCA, ARM and various parts of the IPC.
According to the complaint, Chaudhari kidnapped him and took him to a remote area where he was asked to pay RS10 Lakh ransom at the point of the weapon.
Chaudhari argued at the court that he was not part of the kidnapper and his name was not looking in FIR.
