Hyderabad: Telangana High Court on Monday issued a notification to the State Commissioner and Hyderabad to respond to the questioner of the pill that accused the use of facial recognition technology (FRT) by officials without legal sanctions.

According to Counsel Masood, K Manoj Reddy, the letters sent by the Petitioner to the Police Commissioner Hyderabad to remove his personal and biometric information from the police data there was no response.
“The advanced use of facial recognition technology by the police violated the individual’s privacy which was enforced by the Assessment of the Supreme Court Aadhaar.
The use of the technology without authorization of the law must be declared unconstitutional and illegal,” he said.
The applicant in his request said that the state had used various institutions since 2018 to apply FRT in the state.
Citing media reports, he said that CCTV installation in various places was intended to collect the data.
“Countries in Coordination with the Ministry of the UNI home are implementing a network and criminal tracking system (CCTN) throughout the country.
The data they collected and the way they use, save or maintain this information is not known to the public.
It is used exclusively by the police and authorities which enforces the law, “Shavili said.
Explain this as a violation of the law, the applicant said that his efforts to extract a reply from the Hyderabad police through the Rights Rights route (RTI) also did not produce results until now.
