Zonal director NCB Sameer Wankhede is “Public Official” and his actions can be examined by anyone, said the Bombay High Court on Wednesday while hearing a defamation settings submitted by his father against Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik.
Dnyandev Wankhede, Sameer’s father, has been looking for Rs damage 1.25 Crore from Malik and the command that holds it from making a false statement or one of the Wankhede family.
The NCP leader has flattened a series of charges against Sameer Wankhede, accused him, among others, to forge his birth certificate to get government work.

During the trial, lawyer Dnyandev Wankhede Arshad Shaikh asked why Sameer had to justify someone who was “only MLA and not a court.” Which, Madhav Jamdar justice said, “You are a public official ….
You only need to prove that the tweet (posted by Malik) is the prime facie false …
your child is not only an individual, but the public officers and can be examined by any public members.
”
On the other hand, the court also asked Malik Lawyer Atul Damle, “Isn’t your duty to verify the document before posting? Have you verified the authenticity of the document as a responsible citizen and a national party spokesman?”

Wankhede’s lawyer then look for time to submit an additional Affidavit to determine that Malik’s accusation was wrong.
The court gave him until Friday and also asked the NCP leader lawyer to submit a written statement that he had verified the document (related to the personal detail of Sameer Wankhede) before posting it on Twitter or publishing it.
The problem was posted for further hearing on November 12.
Dnyandev Wankhede said that Malik’s claim that he was Muslim amounted to the question of family religious beliefs, and the ministerial allegations had caused damage that could not be repaired in the family’s reputation.
It is also looking for directions for Malik to attract all “slanderous statements” and tweets about the Wankhede family.

Sameer Wankhede last month led an attack on a cruise ship from Mumbai beach where NCB was allegedly confiscated drugs and arrested Arya Khan, son of Actor Shah Rukh Khan, and 19 others.
Malik accused that the whole attack was fake.
He also claimed that Sameer was born as a Muslim when his father had converted to Islam, but then Sameer faked his birth certificate to get a job in the caste quota scheduled and stated that he was Hindu.
NCB officials have denied the allegations.
