Ranaut said in his request the High Court did not examine the complainants or witnesses mentioned in complaints against him, but it only depends on the policy of Juhu Police and initiated his case against him.
On Wednesday, Siddique said a bench led by Revati Mohite-Dere justice that police investigations about Akhtar complaints were “one side.”

“My witnesses have never been examined.
Judges should ensure that no parties are harassed,” Siddique told HC.
Akhtar’s advice Jay Bharadwaj told the bench that the judge had ordered a police investigation after going through a complaint and quote Akhtar where Ranancah had made a slanderful slander’s comments.
He then said the police had called witnesses and people who care, including Ranaut, to ensure the question was impartial, but the actor never responded to a call.
Akhtar filed a criminal complaint against Ranaut in November last year before Metropolitan Judge Andheri for allegedly made a comment in slander and was unfounded towards him in television interviews.
In December 2020, the court directed the Juhu police to conduct an investigation into the Akhtar complaints.
The police then told the court that violations of defamation, as allegedly by Akhtar against actors, was the prime facie made, and further investigation into the same is needed.
Court accordingly, initiated a criminal process against Ranaut and issued a call to him in February this year.
In accordance with the 202 CRPC, a judge, when he received a complaint of violations where he was authorized to take consciousness, could ask, or direct the police to see if the actual case was made, before issuing the person who was accused.
The High Court is likely to give an order to the Ranaut request on September 9.
