Madurai: Madras High Court on Friday directors Director General of Shipping, Deputy Trust Conservator Port Mumbai and Indian Coast Guard Commander to hold Panama MV Navios cargo places, now lying in Port Mumbai, for three weeks.
Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy passed the temporary command while hearing the petition submitted by P Rajamani, whose fishing vessel was broken in a collision with a cargo ship about 19 miles of sea from Colachel Harbor in Kanyakumari on October 22.
The ship ‘Shij Mon – I’ ‘with 17 crew members and vessels collided around 8:15 a.m., leaving a wounded crew and the ship was badly damaged.

Considering this dispute, justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy directed authorities to hold the cargo ship currently lying in Port Mumbai for three weeks.
The court ordered notification to official respondents and vessels, and delayed this case until November 26.
