New Delhi: Delhi High Court on Friday fired Lok Jansakti Party (LJP) MP Chirag Paswan challenged Lok Sabha Speaker’s decision to recognize Pashupati Paras as party leader at home.
“I did not benefit from the petition at all,” Judge Rekha Palli said.
The court, did not charge a chirag after the request was made by his advice.
This petition has been seeking to deliver Speaker 14 June circular which shows the name of Paras as the leader of Jan Lokshakti’s party at Lok Sabha.
It was looking for directions so that the Korgendum was issued by showing the name Chirag Paswan as party leader at home.
“Changes in leaders in Lok Sabha are certain prerogative rights and in this case, Article 26 of the Petitioner’s Constitution No.
2 (Parties) Provide that the Central Parliament Board will decide who will be a leader, a whip head, etc.
at home or assembly,” said the request.
Earlier this month, Paras, the younger brother of the Founder of LJP Ram Vilalas Paswan, was recognized as the LJP leader in LK Sabha at the Chirag Paswan place after five of the six MPS parties gave a letter in his support.
Both factions have benefited claims at the LJP symbol.
The Paras was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister on Wednesday in the Government of Narendra Modi-LED and made the food minister of food processing.
