LUCKNOW: The Lucknow bench of Allahabad HC on Tuesday reserved its order on demand of All-India Muslim Personal Law Board seeking consent for the Muslim community to provide’namaz’ about the contested ground at which the district government had demolished a mosque on May 17 at Barabanki’s Ram Sanehi Ghat.
The court, however, requested the nation to file its response on the matter.
The benchpassed the sequence with a writ petition moved from the AIMPLB which contested the arrangement of this sub-divisional magistrate of Ram Sanehi Ghat issued April 3 ordering demolition of the mosque.
The petitioner also has required leadership for local governments to renew the mosque and enable the government committee to rebuild the mosque and also to guide the discontinuation of their usage of this area for a playground.
AIMPLB additionally sought to guide the state to cover it 25 lakh for defraying costs for reconstruction of the mosque.
