High Court restrains Palike from felling trees Suranjan Das Road and Old Airport Road to Get a signal-free corridor

The Karnataka High Court has passed the interim stay order controlling the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) from felling trees Suranjan Das Road along with HAL Old Airport Road for Developing a signal-free corridor until the next hearing of this request.

The High Court had recorded the request for hearing on June 11.
Swathi Damodar, an activist living in Vinayak Nagar, had filed a petition at the High Court against tens of thousands of trees from the BBMP to ease the signal-free corridor.
