New Delhi: The Bombay High Court returned the former Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh for enforcement of custody of the Directorate until 12 November in the case of money laundering.
The court ruled out the order of a special court which on Saturday returned Deshmukh to hold judicially for 14 days.
A holiday bench from Madhav Jamdar justice heard the application submitted by ED, challenging the command of a special court, with the reason it was bad in law and against the principles of natural justice.
Deshmukh Vikram Chaudhri’s advocacy and Advocate Aniket Nikam told the court that when they opposed the reward and maintenance request, the NCP leader had agreed and volunteered to be interrogated by ED.
The court then turned Deshmukh for prisoners.

Deshmukh was then taken to the handle of Jalan Arthur Mumbai.
The court has rejected the request for the Directorate of Enforcement for further detention ofdeshmukh captured by ED on November 1 after 12 hours questioning in connection with a multi-crore money laundering case.
He was produced before a special vacation court on November 2 which served him to the detention of ED until November 6 when he was produced before the Special Court on Saturday, Ed had been looking for further prisoners, but the court refused and sent it in termination.
Ed had initiated an investigation against Deshmukh and his colleagues after the CBI filed brilliantly against the NCP leader on April 21 on charges of corruption and abuse of official positions.
ED previously arrested two people in this case – Sanjeev Palande (additional ranking official collector who worked as a personal secretary of Deshmukh) and Kundan Shinde (Deshmukh personal assistant).
The agency had previously submitted complaints of prosecution (equivalent to ChargesHeet) against the DUO before a special court.
