Hubballi: The Dharwad bench from the Karnatka High Court on Tuesday stays at further trials in connection with the appointment of the President and Vice President of the Gadag-Betteri City Council (GBCMC).
Congress has opposed the election of the president and vice president, accusing the manipulation of the election process, and moved the High Court who was seeking the help of officers who returned, and delayed this case until the next hearing was scheduled for February 21.
Patil, who appeared in court for Congress along with Uday Holla, told toi that the court had asked the government not to issue a notice that confirmed the appointment of the President of GBCMC and vice president to the next hearing.
