Ranchi: Upset of an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the case of Dhanbad Judge’s death, the Jharkhand High Court here on Thursday called the Zonal CBI director to appear before the court.
A division bench from Chief Justice Dr.
Ravi Rajan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad had ordered zonal director of the investigation body to appear before the court in virtual mode on the next hearing date.
The bench observed that a justice officer had been killed and had no action.
The judges said that the investigation status report was carried out by Sleuth CBI which was presented every week to the High Court did not show much progress.
Agency has not captured anyone except the driver of the automatic rickshaw and his accomplice, said the court.
The bench further observes that the agency must investigate why automatic rickshaw drivers will kill high justice officers.
The point of conspiracy in all cases has not been well investigated, said the judges.
The court said that the death of additional district judges Dhanbad Uttam Anand remained a mystery.
A justice officer was killed which was confirmed by an investigation report equipped with the CBI, but there were no new facts that had been excavated so, said Bench.
Uttam Judge Anand died in a mysterious state on July 28 when he came out to walk in the morning.
The death of the judge was recorded on CCTV cameras and became viral on social media.
The incident shook the judiciary not only in the state but the entire country and the Supreme Court also acknowledged these things.
Immediately after, the police had taken investigations and two people – Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma were arrested.
The state government also demanded the problem be investigated by the CBI received by the body and took over investigation.
