HC to EC: Explore whether voting can be online, virtual rallies

Nainital: The Uttarakhand High Court (HC) on Wednesday requested a response from the General Election Commission (EC) on whether the election demonstration can be held virtually and voting is conducted online, while hearing pills looking for a delay in hair selection and cancellation due to the increase in Covid cases, including Omicron variant, in the state.
Advice for the EC told the court that the hill state did not have infrastructure to support online voting and with the selection so close, it was impossible to make the settings needed for it.
EC said that he held a meeting with the major secretary last week and discussed the way to hold a poll “while following the Covid protocol in the letter and the Spirit.” Times Viewomicron has spread like fire throughout the country.
But politicians don’t seem to realize that.
The election rally is being carried out by leaving even the reason for social blasphemy or masking.
This is very unfortunate.
National leaders are intended to show their way.
Instead, they send the wrong message to the public.
Meanwhile, advice for the Petitioner, Shiv Bhatt, asked for a direct ban on political events while showing that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had signed Covid-19 a day after holding a mega rally in Dehradun on January 3.
During hearing, Bhatt was served in the photo of the court demonstration where Covid rules were almost not followed.
After hearing the argument, the division bench from Acting Chairman Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Alok Kumar Verma asked the EC to submit a response in writing on January 12.
