Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Monday enforced the state government’s decision to conduct a certificate to leave secondary school (SSLC) or the 10th Standard Exam for the current academic year on July 19 and 22.
The division bench, which consisted of Hesti Nagaratha and Hanchate Sanjeevkumar rejected the petition by SV Singre Gowda, who had challenged test holders on the grounds that the Pandemic Covid-19 was not over.
He argued that the government had canceled the second year of Pre-University College.
Advocate General Prabhuling Navadgi explains all preventive measures taken by the Ministry of Education for the smooth behavior of the exam.
Minister of Premier and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar said that by dismissing the petition, the High Court has appreciated the state government’s decision to conduct an examination, taking into account the interests of children.
While announcing the exam date last month, Kumar said that the SSLC exam was very important for students to choose their academic flow.
