Hubballi: A 60-year-old building near the Suburban Police Office Hubballi, a housing commercial complex, will be returned by Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) remembering his dilapidated condition.
HDMC on Tuesday asks all owners and employees from all stores in the complex.
However, the owner did not leave without arguments, and was involved in hot exchanges with HDMC officials on the spot.
Exercise to empty all shops supervised by Hubballi Zone nine assistant commissioner Sidgonda.
The crack has appeared in the building, which was examined by the Superintending Engineer team from HDMC, and a civil engineer team from HR College.
The two teams were round in recommending HDMC that the building was destroyed.
Experts argue that the condition of the building is precarious, implying that there is a risk of falling, thus pose a threat to the safety of people in the complex, and neighbors too.
Sidgonda told TOI that the corrosioned iron rod on the first and second floor was one of the many indicators of fragile building conditions.
“The roof depends, and there is a very real risk so that it collapsed.
We have issued a notification to the shop owner, asking them to empty, twice.
We cannot take the opportunity because this is a public safety problem,” Sidgonda said.
The report confirmed that the condition of the building was ‘unstable’ submitted by the engineer team led by Thimmappa.
Sidgonda said that they had emptied 10 stores like on Tuesday afternoon.
“Demolition of buildings will be carried out on Wednesday,” he said.
However, the shop owner, the guess that HDMC was forcibly expelled them from the complex.
They showed that the problem was waiting in front of the court, which had scheduled the next trial on February 8 “HDMC emptied us, but, citing the condition of the building,” the shop owner was not satisfied.
