Hubballi: Following the orders of the Dharwad Regency Government which prohibits public demonstrations at run-up to Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) of the Council – orders issued by the wake of the direction by the State General Election Commission, all political parties have adopted door-to-door doors to campaign.
In addition, the rules clearly determined that parties could campaign in the group no more than five strong members.
HDMC Suresh Sym Process was confirmed to TOI that they held back permission for political demonstrations, because of the assembly of a large number of people in a place that could cause the spread of the covid-19 infection.
“The General Election Commission has made it clear to candidates that they can only be involved in the door to the door of the campaign.
Only five people, including candidates, can participate in the campaign; They all have to wear masks and follow all safety guidelines, “Itnal said.
HDMC Commissioner said that there was a proposal to allow parties to hold political demonstrations that would be attended by less than 100 people.
“But the European Commission has banned all public demonstrations and meetings for the selection of civilian bodies,” added itnal.
He further added that candidates would not be allowed to use vehicles to campaign.
“Our team of officials, including back and re-assistant officers, will ensure compliance with the code of the behavior model.
The action will begin with candidates caught violating safety norms, “Itnal said, adding that each candidate must ask permission first from HDMC before starting his campaign.
“We will also take steps to ensure that only one candidate campaign is on the same road at a time to prevent cramming too many people in a closed room,” said the HDMC commissioner.
However, political parties are not too happy with the setup.
They show that it covers the entire environment in a short time by knocking on the door of residents will prove difficult.
The functionary of all parties, however, agreed to comply with the norms set by EC.
DR MC Sindh activist asked all candidates, crossing cross-party, to take all the precautions needed when campaigning to lead training for the spread of Covid-19 infection.
“They have to wear a mask, and keep a safe distance from each other.
HDMC officials must remain vigilant and ensure that all parties obey safety norms, “said Sindhur.
