Meerut: Head of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Naresh Tikait extended his support for the Alliance of Rashtriya Lok Dal-Samajwadi (RLD-SP), set the tone for various Khaps to follow.
“Bhai, AAP Logan Te Pariksha Ki Ghadi Hai.
Gathandhan Te Safal Banana Hai (brothers, we must make the alliance successful, this is his challenge in front of us),” he told a crowd of supporters in Sambhum.
He added, “Do anything you can to make a win alliance.” His statement was arrested in the video that is now a viral.
Asked about it, Tikait told Ti on Sunday: “Yes, I ask people to support the alliance.
Sentiment opposes BJP and there is no doubt about it.” His comments came a few weeks after his sister Rakesh Tikait said that the organization would not support any party in the poll.
With Tikait Pitching for the Alliance RLD-SP, Khaps in the West is expected to be influenced by this call to choose.
It was because of the encouragement of Khaps that thousands of people joined farmers or helped them with food and shelter while stirring throughout the year on agricultural laws which are now stored.
After being assessed, some KHAPs became vowels about their support for the alliance too.
