LOS ANGELES: Los Angeles Bomb Technician was very miscalculated the weight of homemade fireworks last month when they blew them up in the detention room, causing a disaster explosion that injured 17 people and shook the environment, the police chief said Monday.
Head of Michel Moore said five members of the Department bomb forces were removed from field duties because the investigation continued.
They can face discipline.
The explosion was very unusual, officials said, and had pushed the Los Angeles Police Department to review his protocol about detonation of explosives.
Residents in this neighborhood have called for accountability and ask why some people are still in their homes, even though there is an evacuation order from the door to the door.
Fireworks are illegal for sale or owned in Los Angeles and in areas that are not moving in the area.
The explosion occurred after the police spent the day throwing thousands of commercial classes (kilograms) of commercial fireworks found in the South Los Angeles house following the morning tip.
The fireworks were blown up on location outside the location.
However, the officers also found homemade fireworks leaked and the bomb squad decided to blow them up in the environment – believe they were too unstable to transport elsewhere.
They check it with X-rays and robots and load it into the detonation room, officially called a total detention vessel.

Federal authorities that weigh the remnants after the explosion calculated that the actual weight of more than 42 pounds (19 kilograms).
The maximum capacity of detonation space is 25 pounds (11 kilograms), Moore said.
The rooms installed in the truck used during the June 30 explosion have been operating for a decade and this is the 42nd time used.
Authorities say they also investigate whether detonation devices have defects.
Nine police officers and federal agents were injured.
An officer was taken to the hospital and now recovered at home.
